2022: New experience for Tecnolam and new milestone for Giulia

Tecnolam Srl Unipersonale has always strongly believed in the importance of training in the company, to grow professionally And qualitatively the individual resources.

We have always trusted in the power of cooperation between the school system and the working sphere and we believe that, unfortunately, to date, the real effectiveness that this relationship possesses and the numerous advantages it could provide is still not recognized.

It is therefore up to companies to take a step forward and act, in order to support this process of rapprochement e cooperation.

For this reason, when Giulia contacted us to ask us to be able to support her in the elaboration of her thesis, we did not hesitate to accept.

Giulia, for his paper, he focused on LEAN method: system that has been applied in our staff for several years now (https://www.tecnolam.it/2021/07/09/il-metodo-lean/); was joined by our collaborator Dr. Erika, Head of Quality Systems Management and Production Planning, who, together with other colleagues, follows our internal refresher course on a weekly basis LEAN method.

The work of data collection was extended into four meetings, within which Giulia he was able to ask questions and apply his theoretical knowledge in practice; through, then, his activity of data analysis she managed to present the knowledge obtained in an excellent way.

This experience was completely new for our team and left us with new awareness and new values that we will strive to maintain.

For this, we just have to thank and wish the best to Dr. Giulia, who greets us with these words:

“During my studies at the Faculty of Economics and Commerce, I was lucky enough to get to know a company like Tecnolam which gave me the opportunity to explore a very important topic, part of my university studies: Lean Production. Erika was very helpful and provided me with all the information needed to write my thesis, the third chapter of which was entirely dedicated to the company.

I would like to sincerely thank the management and all the staff, it was a useful experience to expand my baggage of skills and knowledge and which allowed me to attribute honors to my thesis.”

Thanks Giulia and Thanks from / to all Tecnolam staff.

The LEAN method

Among the company values we have that of continuous improvement through the LEAN system.

The goal is to constantly improve business processes by putting people in the best operating conditions in order to guarantee customer satisfaction in terms of quality, costs and delivery times (QCT). Among the methods we are continuously adopting we remember that of the 5S.

1. Seiri: separating the necessary from the superfluous, eliminating all that is not used.

2. Seiton: ordering and organizing, arranging in an efficient and orderly way everything "a place for everything and everything in its place".

3. Seiso: clean and check the work stations, equipment and tools in order to detect any anomalies.

4. Seiketsu: standardize and improve the work procedures, organization and cleaning activities created.

5. Shitsuke: supporting continuous improvement with systematic audits to monitor the level reached and to identify new objectives.

All this is possible by stimulating people to teamwork which is an essential condition for a sustainable development of the company. From a logistical point of view, Tecnolam is adopting the Kanban system both for sales codes and for internal production and purchase codes. In this way deliveries are guaranteed by optimizing the stock level. The recent continuous improvement works are also involving the office areas to ensure faster customer service.

Tecnolam Srl Unipersonale

Tecnolam Srl Unipersonale, number one in metal carpentry and respecting the environment.

Tecnolam Srl Unipersonale: high precision metal structural work with internal control of the entire supply chain, from a Lean perspective, from design to processing.

We have always been at Tecnolam Srl Unipersonale, we tried to do the medium-light metal carpentry, a minimally invasive activity because we believe in the importance of respect for the territory and resources and we strive to achieve ever more important goals in our factory in Roveredo Di Guà, in the province of Verona.

In respect for sustainability, since 2011 we have been producing the 50% of the energy we consume thanks to a photovoltaic system with self-consumption of 1.3 MWp since the innumerable sheet metal processes, inside the company, have a high important electrical requirement.

We from Tecnolam Srl Unipersonale we want to focus on another aspect of sheet metal processing, that we carry out internally, in a extremely controlled supply chain process, from design to cutting with extremely precise laser equipment, from bending to paneling, from molding to deep drawing, calendering, milling and welding to final treatments and painting, monitoring the waste control and processing optimization in a'Lean optics.

Light and medium light metal carpentry work in a Lean optic.

Internal processes have also been implemented in the direction of full automation that the company has set itself and has been implementing for some years for the best customer satisfaction and with a view to an activity that is more respectful of the environment and resources where all the metal carpentry work they are carried out internally by the company.

Our CAM programmers , through the use of specific software, they create the nesting, that is the set of pieces of a certain thickness, useful in order to optimize a sheet reducing material waste as much as possible. Once created planning information, this is sent directly to ours cutting machines, which automatically communicate with our warehouse, receiving from it the sheets necessary for the completion of the lot.

The large warehouse area also acts as a "stock" for the cut pieces awaiting further processing.

Tecnolam Srl Unipersonale wants to focus on theoptimization, automation and dialogue between people and departments for the internal management of all phases of design and processing of sheet metal products, also integrating the HMI (human machine interface), as in the case of our bending department, where the user of the machinery can interact actively with it or with the entire production line, with great benefit in productivity and operation.
